- Click the Add Device button.
- Input the serial number of your AP and select Go.

- The firmware of the AP will get automatically updated.

Setup Using the Netgear Insight App
- Start by connecting your mobile phone to the SSID of your Netgear AP.
- The default WiFi password is sharedsecret.

- Enter the required credentials and tap LOG IN.
- Select the network location or create one.
- To add the AP to your network location, tap AP > ADD DEVICE.
- If the AP is not added automatically, go to Insight Manageable Device section, tap AP > ADD DEVICE.
- Scan the AP’s code and enter the serial number.
- Give a name to your AP.
- Tap Next and update the WAX610Y firmware.
- Your AP is now an Insight Manageable device.

Setup Using Web GUI (Standalone Setup)
- Connect the computer to the SSID of your AP using the WiFi password “sharedsecret”.
- On a web browser, visit aplogin.net.
- Enter the AP username as admin and the default password as password.
- Choose the button labeled “Web Browser (Local).
- You will see the Day Zero Easy Setup page.
- Go through the instructions on the screen to assign a new admin password and network settings.
- If you get disconnected from the AP’s WiFi network, reconnect using the new WiFi details.
- Thereafter, register your AP with Netgear.
- You will get a confirmation email on your Netgear account email address.
