- Access the Genie interface using the IP address 192.168.1.250 (for extender) or 192.168.1.1 (for router).
- Connect the computer to the router via LAN or SSID network name and open the web browser.
- Search the IP address and enter the admin default username and password to access the interface dashboard.
- Get to the interface dashboard, and go into the Settings > open the Administration tab > select the Wireless networks.
- Here, you will get to click on the SSID option and enter the new username and password, and then click on the SAVE button.
Now, the Netgear Network security keys have been changed which you can use to connect the internet device to Netgear WiFi network.
Moreover, the Netgear interface window default username is ‘admin’ and the password is ‘password’. When you are connecting with the Netgear extender then the network name would ‘Netgear_ext’. In case of the router it is ‘NETGEAR00’ network.
